Global Online Academy is a nonprofit organization that reimagines learning to empower students and educators to thrive in a globally networked society.

Every Middle and Upper School SCH Academy faculty member completes the G.O.A. Designing for Online Learning program, a "nuts and bolts" primer on online teaching and learning for educators. This program is also open to any interested Lower School faculty members.

This is the one week intensive that a group of SCH faculty members will take in order to train their peers. Participants will learn to:

  • build community in online spaces, including peer to peer relationships and student and teacher relationships

  • design online learning experiences that promote student agency

  • design assessments that allow both students and teachers to know what students are learning with an emphasis on evidence of student work
